I also give tips on how you can ensure that you continue to drink enough water everyday as an easy way to lose weight.

How much water does our body need?

Did you know that all life on earth consists of and largely depends on water?

Even 71 percent of the earth’s surface is covered by water. From this you can already conclude that water is essential for life on earth and for our bodies.

It is important to note that our body consists for more than 50% of water. In women, an average of 52 percent in men 63 percent and even an astonishing 75 percent in babies.

This difference is due to the fat content.

Water contains no calories

Your metabolism works 3% faster, so you burn more fat

When did you drink water you have less need for other beverages, which often are the cause of getting extra pounds.

You get more energy, so you have more desire to be active, so you burn more fat

Drinking water quenches hunger, making you eat less and therefore burn more fat

The more water you drink, the better the waste can be disposed of in your body

When to drink Water?

If you want to lose weight by drinking water, it is important to spread this throughout the day.

Too much water can namely create a shortage of sodium, which is very unhealthy.

When you drink too much water the salt content in the blood decreases and adjusts the cells on to it. The result is that the cells take up more water and swell go.

For example, swelling of brain cells can counteract on the nerves, can express themselves for example in headache.

Difficult to drink enough water?

Here are a few tips that can help you lose weight by drinking water:

  • Buy a bottle or bottle (the healthiest is a glass bottle, it is also easy to clean and drinking the best) and fill it 4 times a day with water. So you know how many gallons of water you have drunk at the end of the day.

Sit upright with your legs joined and stretched.

Slowly move the legs from each other as far as possible

Now go and touch your right foot with both hands and breath in when doing

Take your hands back and relax a bit

Shift to the left side and repeat

Do this 12 times.

Lie down on the floor facing the ceiling.

Keep your palms facing down and relax

Lift your legs at a 30-degree angle from the ground

3.Scissor Kick

Perfect for your thighs and buttocks. How to do them?

Lie straight on the mat, and place your hands behind your head

Do this 15 times for each leg.

If you get ok with the intensity of the exercises, then repeat the frequency and level up. For example, instead of 1 Leg stretch, Legs up and Scissor Kick do them all three times in the morning. If you get comfortable with this, do it again in the evening.

How I Overcame One Of My Deepest Fears During My Weight Loss Journey

I just crushed one of my worst fears.

Here’s how you can too.

My alarm clock rang at 06:00AM, this time I thought I will get up and start my day with a good old workout session.

But for now, several thoughts continued to play through my mind.

What if I sleep just a little bit longer, that wouldn’t harm anybody.

Inside my bed it is so soft and warm, why should I get up and get into the cold?

I can also do these exercises tomorrow right?

For more than 5 years, I’d been avoiding this moment.

Making up excuses just like the ones above.

That morning, I just continued to sleep safe and sound.

Time and time again this happened, assuring myself that one day soon I would start with changing myself and get rid of all my overweight.

But every time, the voice in the back of my head whispered:

let’s do it tomorrow..

Running through the last few years of dodging my fear wasn’t helping. And it made it all the more startling when an old friend of my asked me if I was again pregnant.

With one last deep, anxious breath, I decided that for once I would be changing my whole life.

For the next hours, weeks and months I immersed myself by reading through all kinds of books about the human body, diets, human psychology.

And in doing so, I finally broke with the old habits of one of my worst fears.

 

Everyone Fears Something

I’ve always considered myself a confident person.

I’m very comfortable with other people and in social circumstances. In fact, I love doing those things.

But for as long as I can remember, I’ve dreaded the idea of talking about my weight loss issues.

Even a simple reference to it, or even getting a comment about the foods that I eat gave me the boosegumps.

It’s not exactly a rational fear for a “social” person to have.

Still, I’ve declined every single helping hand I’ve ever been offered.

I’ve turned down countless requests from close friends to help me or those that offered their advice.

And for years, I’d been dodging myself to face the reality and do something about my problems.

And when I finally agreed to do something about it, I continued to plot my escape.

Even after starting with the exercises, I considered pulling out.

The fear threatened to not only hold me back, but it threatened to harm my relationship with the people closest to me.

You are important and a role model for the people around you.

You are because of what your environment is. So if I didn’t changed my habits, it might also lead to one of my friends or family members ending in the same situation as me

It is, of course an irrational fear.

After all, what’s the worst thing that could realistically happen?

But in the privileged modern world we leave in, almost all of our fears are irrational.

And yet we all have them.

For me, that fear has been facing the reality. For many others it might be: getting on a plane, public speaking, selling and much more.

I’m willing to bet that you, too, are being held back by something you fear.

It sucks. It really sucks.

But as I’ve learned in overcoming a lot of my fears during my weight loss journey, the only cure for fear that has worked for me is to break with the habits.

 

Break With The Old Habits

I finally did my 06:00 AM workout.

And five minutes in, the realization hit me: this isn’t so bad.

I had literally spent years terrified of this very moment, thinking through all of the different ways it could go horrible, irreversibly wrong.

And yet, in just five minutes of bracing myself and breaking with my old habits, that panic dissolved.

After some weeks after I got myself deeply into reading about health, eating healthy and working out on a regular basis I noticed that I was more positive about daily things.

I also recorded immediately how many times I still cheated on food and exercises. Evaluating yourself is crucial and if you did not well an embarassing experience.

Most people never really dare to evaluate where they really are. And that might prove to be an even more embarrassing moment in the end.

Still, as I paid close attention to myself, I got more proud of myself and that I also could help my friends with the knowledge that I gained. I was proud.

I started to more comments from friends about my body posture and composure. But this time they were all positive.

I know that I still have a lot to improve on.

But I’m thrilled that I did it, and I’m excited to have sufficiently overcome my fear of changing my life that I’m eager to do it again and better.

 

My Goal for 2017, and How You Can Crush Your Fear This Year Too

Crushing my fear by breaking with my old habits was liberating. It made me realize – not just on a rational level, but on a very deep emotional one – that there’s nothing to fear.

And that mindset opens up a whole world of possibilities.

And now that fear is gone, I can focus on getting better at this and share this with as many people as I can. That means that I need to overcome another weakness of me.

Showing off more of that human side can only help people.

So one of my key goals for 2017 is to share more of my personal stories and practice in getting better at this.

It’s easy to avoid something just because you’re scared of it. I did that for a long time. But it won’t help you.

It won’t help you improve, and it won’t help you succeed.

That’s why I’d love to see you take on this important goal for 2017: pick one of the fears that; been holding you back – whether in business or in life – and destroy it.

Set a commitment that you’ll feel bad backing out of.

Walk right up to the edge of your fear.

Close your eyes, put one foot forward, and break up with your old habits.

You’ll realize very, very quickly that it’s not so bad.

And just like that, you’ll open up a world of opportunity.

  • 1 zucchini
  • 1 onion
  • 1 clove garlic

  • 1 clove garlic
  • Pepper
  • Sea salt

Preparation:

  1. Peel the prawns and marinate them with salt, pepper and garlic.
  2. Peel the sweet potato and cut it into 4 pieces.
  3. Boil the sweet potato 10 to 15 minutes, until it is soft.
  4. Cut the vegetables:
  5. halve Cherry Tomatoes
  6. Zucchini sliced
  7. Peppers into strips
  8. Heat a little olive oil in a grill pan and grill the vegetables a few minutes.

WALKING FOR WEIGHTLOSSYou might think that this is not very effective, right? Walking namely does not feel like a strenuous exercise.
Yet research has shown that when you walk a distance of 5 kilometers (at a brisk pace), you will burn the same amount of fat as if you would go running that same distance.

In this article I will explain to you the advantages and disadvantages of walking for weight loss and what tips for getting the best results.

Lose weight by walking or running?

I myself had to get used to the idea that walking for a long distance is just as effective as running.

Yet there are many differences between walking and running.

Walking for Weight Loss – What You Should Know

These are some benefits to lose weight by walking versus running:

  • It is better for joints if you walk rather than run.
  • You can walk for a longer time than if you would run.
  • While walking you can be busy with other things. You can listen to music, enjoy your surroundings or chat with people or reflect/think.
  • Walking is cheap. For hiking you need to buy special clothing, but good walking shoes are still recommended.
  • Walking you can easily incorporate into your daily life. Leave the car alone and for short distances go for a walk.
  • Walking can be very soothing. For example, by walking through the forest you can rejuvenate yourself and recharge your batteries.

And these are the disadvantages of losing weight by walking versus running:

  • Walking takes more time than running, in order to achieve the same result.
  • With running you will get an athletic shape faster
  • Running improves your endurance and stamina faster.

Who should lose weight by walking suitable?

WALKING FOR WEIGHTLOSSSince there are more advantages than disadvantages to lose weight with walking, the choice is still very different for each person.

Losing weight by walking offers a solution for those who have difficulties or can’t play sports intensively.

Personally, I think walking is perfect for people who have had years of too little exercise and now want to be active.

In fact, I don’t recommend to go very intense right away if you have done nothing intensive for the past period.

Otherwise, you may find out that it is too hard for you and the risk of injuries is higher as well.

6 Tips to Get the Best Weight Loss Results by Walking

As with running, it is important to walk in the right manner, otherwise you will hardly notice any improvements.

Maintaining a firm pace is essential because it allows you to reach a certain intensity, allowing your body to almost burn twice as many calories in the same time as with a slow walking pace.

In addition, it is important to go for a walk often.

How do you know if you are walking at the right pace? And which things are more important to pay attention to?

1.Tempo

Walking at a brisk pace and keep this speed. At a brisk pace, you could take at least 3 Miles in an hour.

2.Walking long enough

Pull enough time to stroll and walk long enough. You should walk at least 30 to 60 minutes before the desired effect takes place.

3.Stroll often

Walk at least four times a week, but more is better. Therefore, I recommend to actually go for a walk every day.

4.Good posture

Walk upright. Pull your shoulders back, chest out, keep your back straight and keep your head straight.

5.What for pace?

Make rather great long steps than several small steps per minute.

6.Breathing

Watch your breath during walking. Inhale deeply through your nose and breathe from your belly. Don’t Underestimate the effects of proper breathing while walking.

When you mastered this habit, walking goes more faster and easier. When you are at this phase, I also recommend to slowly start with jogging a bit and build it up.

Losing weight is one of the most popular resolutions at the end of the year.

Whether you plan to lose weight in 2016, it actually depends on a number of factors.

The main factors would be healthy eating and exercising more.

In addition, it would be very important to know the following in order to actually succeed with your weight loss goal. This would be:

  • What you EXACTLY should eat
  • Unhealthy habits that you should QUIT!

Do you want to lose a lot of weight? Great!

You are not the only one

In The United States, a lot of people are obese and every day thousands of people search for ways to lose weight.

It is smart to measure this in pounds, because to lose 2 pounds a week is a realistic goal.

To lose 2 pounds a week is a healthy pursuit. It is responsible and you do not need to begin with pills or crash diets.

The big advantage of a realistic goal is the fact that you lose weight in a healthy and responsible way.

Is 2 pounds. A lot?

No, it is not a lot!

There is a big difference in whether you only want to lose pounds or if you also want to make sure that you wont gain any anymore. In 2 pounds there are approximately 7,700 calories.

That sounds like a lot, but actually it isn’t. Your body needs energy (therefore also calories) in order to function.

The key is to make sure that your body receives less than 7700 calories, so you will lose weight naturally.

CHOOSE A GOOD TIME TO START

To lose 2 pounds a week, you also need to start at a good time.

If you are not comfortable in your own skin, when losing weight, or if you are very busy you will be then discouraged very easily.

December for example is much more difficult to start than in January. Choose also your days accordingly, if you feel more comfortable in the weekend, then start with that.

Be aware that if you want to lose weight, you also need to change a pattern in your daily life.

1.You need have the right mindset and strategy

Also take some time in between to let your body rests.

For example, if you have a big goal in mind for more than 6 pounds, plan 4 months for it.

Plan well in advance and let your body relax sometimes!

Achievable targets ensure not only that you stay more motivated, it is also better for your health and you will continue to achieve your goal.

3.Change old habits

It is also important to adapt your old diet and lifestyle.

The best way is to have a look at yourself and see which habits you have and which you can easily change.

A very good example of a habit that you could change for the better of yourself would be: the eternal biscuit with coffee or tea with sugar.

If you do this 4 times a day, you quickly get a lot of extra carbohydrates in.

In one-year time this could get up to 6 pounds a year!!!!!

4.Know what you eat

It may be helpful to keep a food diary so you can understand your diet and see with which foods you have a lot of difficulty.

The next step is to ensure that your difficult moments and temptations decrease and get out of your way.

Ways to realize this is by always carrying a healthy snack with you for times when you get hungry.

Think of fruit, dried fruit, raw vegetables or dried biscuits. And most importantly, don’t do any groceries on an empty stomach!

Regularity is important in a healthy diet.

That means: three times a day, a main meal and up to 3 times something in between.

Try to eat every day around the same time.

You will notice that your body gets used to this. You will no longer be overtaken by a sudden appetite.

For you the main goal is to stick to your healthy habit. One way of doing this is by always sticking to your own preferences.

How to Lose 10 pounds in 3 days

When I convinced myself to start losing weight ASAP, I started with reading almost any kinds of diet that gives you the guarantee that you will lose a lot of weight in a short period of time.

And so it happened that I came across this diet called: “The 3 Day Diet” which basically means: “Lose 10 Pounds in 3 Days”.

Why?

This diet claims that you can lose 10 pounds in 3 days. I know.

The first thought that will come up in your mind would be: “HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE” the question that follows shortly after in your mind would probably be “is that even true?”.

So in this article I will give you my thoughts on this “lose 10 pounds in 3 days” diet. Whether it is plausible and if it is possible to achieve the claimed benefits.

It claims that you can lose 10 pounds in 3 days.

So because of this it may also be called a crash diet.

This because it basically comes down on taking fewer calories a day as you normally take in and in this way you can lose quite some pounds.

After these 3 days you can go back to your normal eating habit again to switch again to the 3 days diet after 4 days of normal eating where the cycle will repeat itself.

In the three days of the 3 days’ diet you will have to stick to a strict diet regimen where you may only have between 750 and 900 calories per day.

The average number of calories that you need per day for men is 2500 and for women 2000.

During these 3 days, the body will have less than half of the necessary calories.

Lose 10 pounds in 3 days: What is the 3 days’ diet exactly?

The 3 days diet consists of a number of principles, which you must follow.

You can drink as much water, coffee and tea as you want, but you can not add any milk or sugar. It is recommended to drink a lot of water, to properly get rid of the waste in the body.

You will have three meals a day, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Snacks are strictly forbidden.

There are a number of variations in the 3-day diet, but these are in accordance with the reduction of carbohydrates and fats. Below you can read a nutrition plan, seen by many as the right way to follow this diet.

Nutrition Scheme 3 Days’ Diet

As stated, the nutrition program a strict diet over 3 days, which should therefore be followed exactly for best results.

Lose 10 Pounds in 3 days: Day 1

On the first day you take for breakfast a toasted multi grain bread, where you can add peanut butter on. In addition, you can take one half of a grapefruit. Coffee and tea you can have plenty, but as mentioned without any milk or sugar.

In the afternoon you will have again toasted multi grain bread, with 60 grams of drained tuna. And of course coffee/tea if needed.

In the evening you can take 250 grams of vegetables of your own preference, although it is recommended to have 125 grams of fresh green beans and 125 grams of fresh cooked beetroot.

In addition, take about 100 grams of lean meat, such as lean chicken or roast beef. Furthermore, for dessert you will have 120g vanilla ice cream and an apple.

On the second day you take for breakfast once again a toasted multi grain bread.

You can take one boiled egg and half a banana. Coffee, tea or water you can drink again as much as you want.

For lunch, take 5 crackers and 120 grams of fat cheese or low-fat cottage cheese, and coffee or tea.

In the evening the dinner consists of three sausages from a can  +/- 200 grams of fruit (preferably broccoli and carrots) and half a banana. For dessert, you can take 60 grams’ vanilla ice cream.

On the third and final day of the diet your breakfast consists of 5 crackers, 100 grams of fat cheese, an apple and coffee or tea.

For lunch, take a toasted multi grain bread and a boiled egg, and coffee or tea.

In the evening, take about 250 grams of vegetables of your choice, but preferably fresh cooked beetroot and steamed cauliflower.

In addition, you may have 60 grams of drained tuna in a can, and for dessert a part of watermelon and 60 grams’ vanilla ice cream.

Lose 10 pounds in 3 days. The pros and cons of the 3 day diet

So after reading the diet. How does it sounds to you?

I am not trying to convince you of a certain point, but merely try to give you my insights based on what I know of weight loss and healthy eating.

To be honest it doesn’t sound like that much fun to me. And rather like a Spartan method of living.

So let’s go the advantages. We can say one of the advantages is that its period is relatively short.

So that means that you can probably stick to it. The nutrients mentioned are pretty basic and simple and shouldn’t be hard to find.

Now, the disadvantages. The first that comes up in my mind is that I am not so sure if you can lose 10 pounds in 3 days.

Why?

Because yes the way of eating is pretty good and is guaranteed for weight loss. But if you want to lose that MUCH of an amount, it is certainly necessary also to exercise a lot.

So besides this points another point that I want to mention is that because this diet is so short, the easier it is to fall back in your old pattern of eating.

Which basically is not the thing that you are searching for…..

So what does that mean? It means that it will be quite easy to gain weight after these 3 days.

Therefore, in my opinion it doesn’t sound very good as a diet in my opinion. If you want to find a strategy that you can apply for the rest of your life. Whenever you want. Wherever you want. Why do I say this?

Because of this diet, a lot of people will just continue with their old eating pattern and probably eat like a pig for 4 days only to suffer and eat only the bare essentials for your body for 3 days.

As I mentioned before in other articles, I always say that losing weight should be fun and challenging, but it should not be a Spartan way of living, which is cruel and horrible (sounds like a lot of old diets).

If you want to lose 10 pounds in 3 days I find that it is possible to lose a lot of weight in 3 days with this methods, but 10 pounds it is truly a lot.

And losing that much in 3 days wouldn’t be healthy at all.

Specific nutritional supplements such as pre workout for women can be a major supporting role in getting back to shape.

However, there are different opinions about this and everyone will say something completely different about this topic.

When you use Protein supplements it will accelerate the recovery process significantly so that you can get back on the training track or gym.

So is it necessary to have Protein supplements for your work out?

Indeed, it is extremely important to eat well when you work out.

And getting enough protein means that your body will recover good. In the past there have been a lot of studies, and these revealed that if you get more than 1.8gram Protein per kilogram of bodyweight inside, it will not have a better added value.

So this means basically that it is not necessary to have protein supplement shakes in your diet.

Just eating natural proteins will be more than enough. These you can find in: eggs, chicken, fish, cheese, milk, meat and more!

Having protein hakes in your diet can be of added value, but they are not necessary for good results.

2.Weight Gainer for Women a Must?

If your goal is to build muscles, then it is important to first gain some mass and then build muscles.

For this purpose, a lot of people use a weight gainer supplement.

This mainly consists of protein and carbohydrates which facilitate the growth of muscles.

When you want to build muscle, you have to do a lot of heavy strength exercises. In addition, you also need to get more calories than you actually burn.

These extra calories you can actually get just by eating more. If you have troubles with eating a lot, then weight gainers are an easy way to gain weight, but weight gainers are not essential to build muscles.

You can get the same effect by eating more and schedule what you are going to eat.

3.What? Amino Acids for Women

Amino acids (BCAA E. D.) are the building blocks of protein. Our bodies need protein to repair and build our muscles.

BCAA Amino Acids are not needed when you get a sufficient mount of protein inside.

But it is recommended to take some BCAA Amino Acids for when you are going to train on an empty stomach.

This is to prevent unnecessary muscle break down. But the same principle applies that a normal meal with protein is sufficient enough and thus making BCAA Amino Acids not a must have.

Multivitamins include a lot of antioxidants and vitamin B. This Vitamins are especially good because they stimulate the natural energy in your body.

Vitamins and antioxidants are a must have for when you are working out a lot.

Because when you are getting the most out of your body, you also need the right stuff to recover well.

What additional vitamins you need depends per body, exercise level, diet etc. Because of this, I can’t give you a clear recommendation on if it is necessary or not.

5.Pre-Workout for Women Good?

Pre-workout supplements are literally mean supplements to take before a workout. Most pre-workout supplements consist of a combination of fast carbohydrates (sugars).

So within a few minutes after taking the pre workout, your body gets new energy, strength and focus.

This certainly can make a difference during training and the results can become more clear when you are involved in a heavier workout which has more weights and sets.

Pre-workouts are often no more than unnecessary sugars and / or a large quantity of caffeine and other stimulatory agents.

Pre workout for women consists of different ingredients than the one for man but in general the purpose serves the same goal.

The affect of caffeine decreases a lot as your body gets tolerant after taking the pre work out.

Thus making it only efficient in the beginning and you will/need to take more and more for the same effect.

Pre workout for women can be efficient but only for a short period, but what comes out to be the most important thing is the mental attitude.

Majority of the time it turns out that your mental state is the key factor in failing or succeeding.

Taking a bit of caffeine before your workout can have some good results. But I would suggest that pre workout for women is not necessary as the important element is having a right mindset.

6.Post Work Out for Women Good?

A post work out supplement you take after your workout.

And its core function is to let your body recover quickly so you can gain more strength and energy in a short time and therefore lets you continue training more intense.

A post workout for women is not necessary.

You can easily do this by eating a good meal after your training which has the right nutrition in it so that your body can recover in good and healthy manner.

My answer is that if you want to get the most out of your workout then it is possible to add some supplements BUT it is absolutely not necessary.
