5: 2 Fixed Diet: This means that you are going to fast for two days a week. On these days you are to get very few calories. The rest of the week just eat like you are used to.

Juice fasting: You drink for 5 days only juices of fruits, vegetables and herbs. Up to 4 times per day. So no solid food. You can make smoothies yourself in a blender. Another option is to buy juices (ready at the health food store) You can support this diet through the use of spirulina tablets and flaxseed oil. Drink green tea and plenty of water during juice fasting.

When you shouldn’t do a detox:

  • are pregnant
  • breastfeeding
  • have liver problems
  • Medications such as antacids or certain anti-depressants
  • Underweight or have eating disorders

Detox with Fresh Herbs and Spices

Did you wonder herb plants that help detoxify your body? With this you can think of:

Coriander; cheap and you can get it everywhere. Also, you can make delicious recipes along like fruit juices, pesto and green smoothies.

Parsley; very good for your kidneys, which play an important role in the detoxification of your body.

Turmeric: anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory

Lemon juice: fresh fruit and vegetables in the slowjuicer. Or just natural in a glass of water.

Black pepper; good for your liver!

Fibers help to keep clean intestines. Fruits and vegetables naturally contain a lot of fiber.

Some species such as avocados and artichokes contain a lot of extra fiber. Among the fruits are raspberries and oranges true fiber bombs.

Also in seeds and kernels are fibers. Add flax seeds and chia seeds to your diet and smoothies.
